At Secret Garden Saint Paul, we believe in the healing power of touch. Our philosophy is centered around providing a safe and comfortable environment where our clients can relax and rejuvenate their body and mind through massage therapy, focusing on therapeutic relaxation and deep tissue massage and bodywork.
We offer a wide range of massage services, including customized sessions to fit your needs that may include clinical sports massage, therapeutic relaxation, Reiki energy work, and everything in between. We specialize in blending both clinical and relaxation techniques to achieve change in the tissues as well as change in the nervous system.
I have fallen in love with deep tissue and therapeutic massage. My specialty lies in the intersection between therapeutic relaxation and deep tissue, medical massage. I combine the two to create a unique massage and bodywork experience in my home studio in the West Side neighborhood in Saint Paul.
I have learned on a deeper, physiological level that the environment in which we set our selves makes all the impact on our overall health and well-being. The capabilities we have as humans astounds me. There is hope in finding relief from the deep pain we can carry. I have witnessed this in my own life, and it is a deep need for me to help others witness this and create this change in their own life.
My goal is to create an environment that helps release the issues in your tissues. :) I manipulate the soft tissues, reminding them that it is okay to let go and release. Tension and stress melt away as you relax into the comfort of the table; nested with cozy bolsters for ultimate relaxation alongside essential oils and soothing sound therapy. I even have a few custom ambient soundtracks that I co-created with my friend in their music studio. My companion Oliver the Standard Poodle will greet you and rest in the hallway while you receive your treatment. He is fluffy and loving and so nice to pet while we plan out your customized session during our intake.
My intense training from my associates degree in Clinical Massage Therapy has allowed me to create change in my client's tissues and see them become more active, release deep seated knots, and maintain an increased sense of health and well-being. My research and training on therapeutic relaxation and mindfulness helps me to help you settle into the space, allowing me to care for you. Your job is to do nothing, just breathe.
With my knowledge and the accumulation of my studies of health and wellness the last twenty years, I hope to create a space of relaxation, peacefulness, light-heartedness, and joy. A space to let go in comfort. A space to give the body room to smile. In doing so, I believe we give way to a prosperous way of living. The more clinical and therapeutic massages do involve some pain, however, as we work together and breath through it, the benefits outweigh the temporary discomfort.
Currently, a licensed Clinical Massage Therapist with an Associates of Applied Sciences in Clinical Sports Massage Therapy from Saint Paul College, I have a variety of Mayo Fascial Release, trigger-point therapy, and other deep tissue and clinical techniques to curate a session tailored for your self and your body. I am also trained in cupping and Reiki energy work as well.
Together, we can create the space of comfort to best suit your needs and give your self the ability to let go, to re-set, and to re-center.

An intersection between nervous system relaxation and deep tissue, medical massage. I combine the two to create a unique massage and bodywork experience customized to fit your needs. Aromatherapy, hot towels, and high quality massage creme are used. For a full body session, please schedule 75+ minutes. For a 60 minute session, choose 2-3 areas to focus on.
Have you been so stressed you can't sleep? Is your tension getting in the way of fulfilling your daily activities with joy? Do you feel as though you are always running on empty? Are you just overall frazzled by life? Allow me to nurture you and sooth your nervous system by achieving a deep and peaceful relaxation using gliding strokes, aromatherapy, guided meditation, and hot towels.
Massage Cupping is a modern adaptation of the ancient art of cupping therapy. While massage is performed by applying pressure, cupping instead uses negative pressure to pull, lift, open and expand the body’s soft tissues. Cupping will be performed first to remove restriction from the fascia and then I will go in with hands on work. I have seen great results combining the two modalities. Please note that marks are left on the body, and remain on average for a week, however it differs with each person. Please book 90+ minutes for full body work.
My personal favorite combination, this customized session infuses massage therapy with Reiki energy work for ultimate restoration. Reiki is a Japanese Energy Healing technique that promotes deep relaxation and connection with one's body. Everyone experiences it differently; some experience visuals or colors, vibrations, warmth, or just a deep sense of peace and tranquility. Please book 75+ minutes for full body work.
We will relax in the Wellness Room and discuss goals for the session, any injury history, as well as general stress and tension levels. If you'd like, Ollie the standard poodle will snuggle up to you and help you start to relax as we discuss your customized session.

If you would like to incorporate regular massage therapy into your self-care routine, we can discuss and create a treatment plan that best suits your needs.

If you feel more comfortable chatting with me, we can do so, however the best sessions usually involve a meditative quiet as I focus on nurturing your body and addressing your needs, while you focus on your breath and relaxing into the work.
We will finish as we started, with a moment of sound therapy and gentle pressure applied to the full body on top of the blankets. I will brush off any remaining stress and leave you to soak it all up.
